A Monkey's Obsession

Monkey has an obsession with cars. He will probably grow up to be like Jay Leno with owning a ton of cars. It started with a car he played with at Aunt J's, then with a birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa. And has grown into a full blown obsession.

Monkey has to have one one him at all times. He has to take them up to bed with him. He especially likes emergency vehicles (or as he refers to them "car with lights"). If we get lucky enough to see one with its lights one he says "lights mama, I see lights". Then as soon as we pass the car he asks for "more lights mama" (repeatedly, as if I have control over seeing more lights).

He also loves buses, trucks, big machines, motorcycles - really anything that has wheels!

Yesterday we passed the same type of car that Cougar drives, but it was a different color. Matthew noticed it and thought it was Cougar!

These were taken back in December on Monkey's 2nd birthday, I just haven't gotten a cute new recent one of the two of us to share.

Monkey has really started to be interested in the potty. Cougar taught him to take reading materials with him!
